4.2. Configure Contacts

Let us now configure Kaddressbook, in order to be able to use the features available, when running KMail in groupware mode.

Click on the Contacts icon of your Kolab account, the Address Book Browser dialog of KAddressBook should be displayed:

To access the configuration dialog for KAddressBook point to the Settings -> Configure KAddressBook option of the Address Book Browser dialog:

We will now configure the LDAP page of the KAddressBook's Preferences dialog in order to be able to search contacts on the Kolab server and register them in our Kolab client's Contacts folder.

To do so, click on the LDAP icon on the left side of the KAddressBook's Preferences dialog:

In the Add Host dialog as displayed below write the Host name, of your Kolab server. The default Port indicated here should not be modified in most of the case. Enter the Base DN as instructed by your server administrator and click on the OK button to validate your setup.

Finally select the LDAP server(s) to be used (it can be several servers), and push the OK button to close the dialog.

LDAP functionality is now "On" and ready to run. Let us have a try in the next paragraph.
