You might have noticed that with the release of Kolab.org 3.1 we are now building all packages using the Open Build Service. This does not only make contributing to packages a lot easier, but also means that we have a new location where our packages are hosted.
In order to still get updates, you need to change the package repository location in your distribution. For your convienience, we have prepared instructions that we share with you below.
RHEL and CentOS
Remove the old repositories by executing:
# yum remove kolab-3.0-community-release
Then install the new repositories:
# cd /etc/yum.repos.d/ # wget http://obs.kolabsys.com:82/Kolab:/3.1/CentOS_6/Kolab:3.1.repo # wget http://obs.kolabsys.com:82/Kolab:/3.1:/Updates/CentOS_6/Kolab:3.1:Updates.repo
In your /etc/apt/sources.list.d/kolab*.list you should have something like:
deb http://mirror.kolabsys.com/pub/debian/kolab-3.0/ wheezy release updates deb-src http://mirror.kolabsys.com/pub/debian/kolab-3.0/ wheezy release updates
This you change now to:
deb http://obs.kolabsys.com:82/Kolab:/3.1/Debian_7.0/ ./ deb http://obs.kolabsys.com:82/Kolab:/3.1:/Updates/Debian_7.0/ ./
Don't forget to add the release keys for the new repository and to adjust the pinning in your /etc/apt/preferences.d/kolab file:
Package: * Pin: origin obs.kolabsys.com Pin-Priority: 501
Please note that the Debian packages still need some work. Since it is quite easy to fix packaging issues now, many community members have already fixed a little issue here and there, but there are still some left, so please consider to get involved and help to get these packages where we all want to see them.
The packages for openSUSE have been in the openSUSE build service for some time and continue to stay there for the time being. We will be linking both build services soon, so all packages will be accessible from a central location.
